PROBLEM STATEMENT:

How Can I Manage SharePoint External Sharing

SOLUTION:

One can manage SharePoint External Sharing settings from SharePoint Admin Center and from CoreView Portal.

USING ADMIN CENTER:

You must be a Global Administrator or SharePoint Administrator in Microsoft 365 to change the sharing settings for a site (previously called a "site collection"). Site owners aren't allowed to change these settings.

To change the external sharing setting:

  • Go to Active sites in the new SharePoint admin center, and sign in with an account that has admin permissions for your organization.

  • In the left column, select a site.
  • Select Sharing on the command bar.
  • Select an external sharing option

  • If you want to limit the sharing of this site by domain, select the Limit sharing by domain check box by expanding Advanced settings for external sharing, and add the domains that you want to allow or block.

  • If you want to change the default sharing link type or permissions for this site, clear the Same as organization-level setting check boxes and set the values that you want to use for this site.

USING COREVIEW:

  • Login to CoreView Portal.
  • Under ACTIONS menu select Management Actions --> Select SharePoint --> click on Manage SharePoint External Sharing Settings (refer below screenshot).

  • You will be presented with External Sharing Settings Screen.

  • Select a Site from the available list. You can also search for the site using the search bar.

  • You will be presented with all the external sharing settings option.
  • choose as per your requirement and click on Next.

  • Finally Review and complete the action.
