KPI Dashboard provides the list of predefined KPIs and KPIs created by CoreView Tenant admins that are linked to the saved reports and the total KPI score calculated based on these KPIs.
CoreView Tenant Admins can edit KPI dashboard by using the Manage KPIs function, while a new KPI can be added by any operator from the reports by following the steps below:
1. Open the report you would like to create the KPI from and apply the filters you would like to monitor:
2. Click on Actions and then choose Save KPI:
3. A panel will be opened where you can fill all the following information:
- type: KPI or KPI template,
- report name,
- description,
- category that joins your KPIs under customized group,
- service refers to Microsoft service,
- severity: High, Medium, Low or Informational to indicate how this KPI is important,
- dashboards on which the new KPI should be added and shown up. You can add the report to an already existing Dashboard (i.e. KPI Dashboard) or to a Custom Dashboard by simply typing its name. A new Dashboard will be created and visible under Custom Dashboards.
- how will this affect my users,
- note.
4. Set KPI Score and Conditions.
KPI score is the points assigned to the KPI to indicate its importance.
You can choose to:
- use a predefined KPI score and conditions based on the chosen severity:
while the number of elements presented in the KPI report that defines which status should be assigned is set to 1 by default.
- set a custom KPI conditions and score. You can change both the scores to be assigned to the specific status as well as the number of elements in the KPI report that defines the limits for different statuses.
So, in the example below the score and conditions were set as following:
- Compliance: KPI score is equal to 10 and the number of elements in the KPI report is less than 10,
- Warning: KPI score is equal to 5 and the number of elements in the KPI report is more or equal to 10 and less or equal to 15,
- Alert: KPI score is equal to 0 and the number of elements in the KPI report is more than 15.
5. You can add Remediation Tasks. You will be presented with the applicable actions and workflow based on the report you selected.
6. You can tag one or more attributes as exceptions so that won't be considered in the compliance computation.
7. Once you filled all the information you can review and complete.
The newly created KPI will be visible now under the Dashboard you selected.
Note: The same process is used to create KPI templates. Once created, the template will be visible and manageable from Manage Custom Dashboard or Manage KPIs.
The Total KPI score shows the sum of assigned vs total scores for all KPIs. Also, you can see the number of all KPIs presented under KPI dashboard as well as the number of KPIs that have different statuses.
The KPI dashboard can be filtered by clicking on Filters button that allows to filter it by category, service and/or severity.
By clicking on the info icon, you can see all the details of the KPI report. You can easily access the report by clicking on the View icon. If you chose a management action as a remediation task, you can perform it directly by clicking the settings icon.
Note: you should use firstly Refresh data button, waiting until the new data will loaded and then click on Reload button to see the updated KPI dashboard.
